Nina Ringen
She primarily advises Danish and foreign companies on disputes relating to trade marks, designs, copyright and trade secrets. Nina also works closely with Bruun & Hjejle's M&A team on IP-heavy transactions. She regularly advises clients on regulatory matters concerning food, cosmetics, dietary supplements and medical devices (life sciences), as well as on cases before the Consumer Ombudsman.
She regularly writes articles for World Trademark Review and contributes to The Trademark Reporter's Annual Review. Nina is Co-Chair of the INTA Bulletins Committee (Europe).
Nina has rights of audience before the Supreme Court.
Nina has litigated a wide range of IP cases before the Danish courts, including inter alia
- Represented Fiskars (Royal Copenhagen), the Danish Eastern High Court (copyright to the ‘Contrast’ cup)
- Represented Interflora Danmark, the Danish Eastern High Court (”SIG DET MED BLOMSTER” (Say it with flowers))
- Represented Unilamp AS et al., the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court (trademarks and bad faith)
- Represented Secto Design Oy, the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court (copyright to lighting products)
- Represented Eirgen Pharma Limited, the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court (pharma trademarks)
- Represented the Municipality of Vejen, the Danish Western High Court (use of music in care centers)
- Represented Fabbri 1905 s.p.a., the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court (copyright to applied art)
Furthermore, Nina has assisted on a number of IP heavy transactions, including inter alia
- the sale of the majority shareholding in the Danish clothing company Masai Clothing to the British private equity fund Silverfleet
- the sale of the majority shareholding in the Danish clothing company GANNI to the American private equity fund L. Catterton
- Kering Eyewear’s acquisition of Lindberg
- the sale of Sportmaster (today Sports World) and Rezet Store to Frasers Group
