Aalborg Portland A/S has won a contract for billions in funding for CO₂ capture and storage

We have advised Aalborg Portland A/S in connection with the Danish Energy Agency’s CCS grant call, with a total grant budget of 28.7 billion DKK.

The Danish Energy Agency has awarded the contract to Aalborg Portland, which will receive funding to capture, transport, and store 1.25 million metric tons of CO₂ annually starting in 2030.

This call for proposals is the largest single CCS funding call ever conducted in Denmark and marks a significant step forward for Europe’s decarbonization projects.
